I saw this in a movie so I don’t know if this actually has anything to do with real military.

In the film, ex-military operate a heroine ring and ship the drugs via a bus disguised as priests traveling out of Mexico. When a border patrol agent asks to see their passports he notices a small scorpion tattoo on one of the men’s hands and realizes that these are not priests and tries to signal for help.

What does a scorpion tattoo on the finger mean, if anything?

Well I know a man who came here from Bosnia. He has two dots spaced about 1cm apart in between from his thumb and index finger. He told me when he was younger, he was sent to a prison camp, and that was a ‘mark’ so that people in the city would know who they’re dealing with to be safe. I’m guessing since they’re mexican it’s a gang.

A scorpion tattoo on the finger has no specific significance other than Priests do not have tattoos and whoever this guy was……he was an idiot. ….. and so is the screenwriter…. no US military is allowed to tattoo the hands or face…. and most military discourage tattoos of any kind
One of the members of my A-Team had salt abrasion to remove a tattoo…..very pain full…..and he ended up with a huge white scar instead of a tattoo…..both were ugly
