What’s the best free tattoo image gallery on the web?

Why would you want to look at an image that has been marketed to the masses? Your likelihood of running into someone with the same generic tattoo definitely increases if you seek out a flash image. Here’s a tip, think about the image that you want, go to the library, research the image, what it means, artists who have rendered it, compile multiple images that you find and narrow it down from there. A tattoo should mean something, it shouldn’t be some cheesy image you find on the computer- tattoo artists love to **** people like that. You give them money for something they’ve put on a million other people, you walk away feeling like a million bucks, they laugh at you behind your back. Come up with it yourself- that’s the most important part of the process.

Although I agree with the other person who responded, in that a tattoo is forever and should be extremely personal, I would suggest you check out work done by local artists and shops in your area. That’s the best way to see how any tattoo you get can be designed and manipulated, it allows you to get a feel for the artists style and interpretation of the image you want. You can always search photobucket or a similar picturing hosting site to see actual tattoos that others have got as a starting point but make sure you keep your design original and unique.. you’ll be happier with it later knowing that its truly YOUR idea.
